Keskar said, “Whenever you are developing any solution, know the market first. Talk to potential customers, know the bill of material (BOM) and then jump into the bandwagon. Do not create a white elephant (big talks about an undeveloped product) without knowing the market well and developing the solutions just like that”.

PVG Menon shared some golden advice for the industry players, “Do not just manufacture products. Create value proposition. The ESDM sector is changing and IoT will reshape manufacturing – be it a chip, a machinery or any such product. The industry needs to accept this change positively and walk hand-in-hand. There is no product left untouch by India – be it embedding the chips or creating a complete design. India has a major role to play in manufacturing. It’s time to shift from ‘Make in India’ to ‘Design in India’.”

Following this, was a seminar on ‘Emerging trends and technologies in components’, conducted by ELCINA. Subhash Goyal, managing director, Digital Circuits Private Limited said, “We all have gathered here today to support the emerging trends in the electronics industry. The Make in India has given an altogether new vigour to the Indian electronics industry”.

The third day of IEW’18 has already garnered impressive footfall and has created a gripping environment of knowledge and information. As the day progresses, more discussion panels and interactive sessions on hot industry topics will unfold.
