In April 2011, EGE-Elektronik Spezial-Sensoren GmbH (Germany) launched Metal Detection System 3000, which detects metal parts in non-metallic environments, especially in feed systems of conveyors.
Features and USP: This system prevents damage to valuable machinery, since metal parts entering a stone crusher or a similar material handling system, could lead toresult in various problems. The detection system comprises an amplifier and a detector coil that works on the inductive principle. The amplifier has an automatic regulation adjustment, which ensures that metal parts are detected only when they are in motion. The sensitivity can be adjusted.
The system is supplied as a loose heavy duty detector coil mounted on a frame and an amplifier unit suitable for 230 V AC or 24 V DC. An additional isolation unit provides supply isolation and protection against line interference. The system 3300 has higher sensitivity and can detect smaller metal parts.
