Bengaluru-based deep-tech and battery tech startup Log9 Materials has partnered with Hyderabad-based electric vehicle manufacturer Quantum Energy Ltd to unveil a new commercial electric two-wheeler (2-W), Bzinesslite.

The first 200 e-scooters will be deployed with Whizzy Logistics in Hyderabad for hyperlocal deliveries. These 2W EVs shall be catering to a wide variety of use-cases, including e-commerce, food delivery, courier services, among others, in the Indian last-mile logistics sector.

The vehicle is powered by Log9’s RapidX 2000 batteries. Log9 claims that these batteries are capable of charging the battery from zero to 80% within 12 minutes.

“With our fast-charging and long-lasting RapidX 2000 battery integrated in Quantum’s 2W, Bzinesslite, we are bringing to the logistics sector, India’s fastest charging electric 2W that suits tropical climatic conditions,” said Kartik Hajela, chief operating officer (COO) and co-founder, Lo9.

The vehicle provides a range of 80-90 kms and comes with a multi-theft alarm, multiple driving modes and is compatible with public chargers as well. In a statement, the company said that the vehicle can operate safely within extreme temperature ranges of -30 degree celsius to 65 degree celsius. It came with a six year unlimited kilometres warranty with assured buyback to counter the issue of second-battery replacements.

The two startups, in the EV industry, aim to deploy 10,000 commercial electric two-wheelers across India by March 2024.
