Friday, June 28, 2013: The V-Guard industry is one of the leading electrical major and consumer electronics in the country and it has reached another landmark of success with the DSIR recognition. The DSIR or Department of Scientific and Industrial Research is one of the highest honours for similar industries in the country. The certification was received for its R & D facility in Kochi.
V-Guard is now one of the 1,500 companies in India to have received the certification. The certification is presented to companies that have a clear cut goal for progress.
Mithun Chittilappilly, the managing director of V-Guard said that this recognition is surely an important achievement for the company. Only a few manufacturers have been able to acquire this certification and this is a testimony to the good R & D work done by the company. He also added that innovation has always been at the core of their research facilities and this indeed will act as an encouragement for the good work and provide consumers with more and more eco-friendly products.
The Kochi research center for the company has more than 100 workers who are engaged in research across all the verticals for the company. It not only helps improve the efficiency of a product but also the portfolio. The company invests nearly 0.5 per cent of its turnover every year in its research facilities.
