- Sprint used Keysight’s 5G Protocol and RF Carrier Acceptance Toolsets to optimise end-users’ experience
- Keysight says its 5G network emulation solutions help device makers in U.S., Japan, South Korea, Europe, and China to address 5G design challenges
Technology company Keysight Technologies has been selected by US mobile operator Sprint for its 5G network emulation solutions to validate the performance of 5G new radio (NR) mobile devices. The company says this has been done to accelerate 5G commercial deployment of fixed wireless access (FWA) in the United States and enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) applications.
Kailash Narayanan, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s wireless test group said, “Keysight’s 5G test solutions, adopted by the world’s leading chipset and device makers, enable major carriers such as Sprint to confirm that their new 5G NR devices operate with superior performance on their networks.”
Radio frequency tests in frequency range 1
The collaboartion used Keysight’s 5G Protocol and RF Carrier Acceptance Toolsets to optimise end-users’ experience while accessing 5G services on the mobile operator’s network as per Keysight. It has also resulted in a carrier-specific test plan covering both protocol and radio frequency (RF) tests in frequency range 1 (FR1). Sprint also uses Keysight’s Nemo radio access network (RAN) analytics software solutions to automate the acceptance of new 5G sites which leads to faster network implementation and better quality of service as per Sprint.
