The solar powered cars can easily run for three consecutive weeks without charging or even longer, depending on sunshine available and daily working hours

Hanergy Mobile Energy Holdings Group, the largest thin-film power solution company in the world, announced that its arm, Hanergy Glory Solar Technology has offered the new solar powered electric express delivery cars to Chinese companies STO Express and ZJS Express.

The latest delivery cars are installed with 320W of light-weight and most-efficient thin-film solar module and lithium battery resistant to low-temperature having compatibility with thin-film solar. Operate for longer days

Hanergy’s express delivery cars were made in partnership with Hebei Nachi New Energy Automotive Technology. Having an excellent battery efficiency, the cars can easily run for three consecutive weeks without charging or even longer, depending on sunshine available and daily working hours.

Commenting on the development, Lu Tao, CEO, Hanergy Glory Solar Technology said, “We’re on a mission to improve China’s express delivery industry by bringing to an effective use our advanced thin film power technology. We’re committed to design innovative solar express delivery car solution that is cordless charging via solar power. We hope our contribution is directed towards creating a true green express delivery industry.”

“We hope to bring more solutions related to mobile energy to several industries in the future,” Lu added.

Advanced features

The new express delivery cars have been considerably advanced in terms of intelligence. The cars are being installed with a surveillance camera at the back that reduces the chances of accidents. These can also obtain Big Data from Internet, which help in accurately displaying the status of battery, power generation condition, distance and route lines.

In addition, the cars help the delivery companies in improving their operational efficiency as these can be easily connected to their clients’ mobile phones and are equipped with sophisticated anti-theft function.
