Greenfuel Energy Solutions Forges Strategic Alliance With EVE Energy To Power India’s Clean Mobility Drive

With EVE’s proven expertise in lithium battery technologies and a shared vision for a sustainable future, this alliance is set to drive significant advancements in electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage solutions, marking a pivotal chapter in India’s clean energy journey.

In a significant development for India’s clean mobility sector, Greenfuel Energy Solutions, a leading provider of clean mobility solutions and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) in India, announced a strategic partnership with global lithium battery giant EVE Energy Co., Ltd. on January 20th, 2023. This collaboration marks a pivotal step for Greenfuel in its quest to become the premier provider of clean mobility solutions by securing access to high-quality lithium cells from EVE Energy, including a variety of cell types such as pouch, prismatic, and cylindrical cells.

EVE Energy, renowned for its core technologies and comprehensive solutions in the lithium battery industry, boasts an extensive product lineup that spans consumer, power, and ESS applications, widely utilized in IoT and renewable sectors. The company’s cylindrical batteries, which encompass NCM and LFP material systems, are celebrated for their high safety, endurance, long-cycle life, and adaptability across a broad temperature range, catering to diverse energy requirements and ensuring compatibility across various scenarios. With over 2.1 billion cylindrical batteries supplied worldwide, EVE Energy’s 2022 shipments positioned it as a leader globally and the top provider in China.

Akshay Kashyap, MD & Founder of Greenfuel Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with EVE Energy, anticipating it to significantly enhance the durability and efficiency of their e-mobility and ESS lithium-ion battery packs. This alliance is expected to propel Greenfuel’s offerings in the electric mobility sector to the forefront, backed by EVE’s technological prowess and diversified product offerings. The company has announced the establishment of a new battery factory in Debrecen, Hungary, aimed at producing large cylindrical batteries primarily for the BMW Group’s Debrecen plant, reflecting its strategic expansion in Europe.  This collaboration not only signifies a leap forward for Greenfuel but also for the broader electric mobility and energy storage sectors in India and beyond.
