Hyderabad-based solar energy provider Freyr Energy is eyeing to expand its presence across the country and overseas with advanced technology. The company has successfully set up over 1,000 solar installations in the last four years and built sales network in 18 states across India.

Saurabh Marda, Co-Founder, Freyr Energy, said that the company recorded a revenue of Rs 33 crore in the last financial year and a similar trend is expected in the current financial year. ā20 per cent of our installations are from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. These states are huge markets for us and one of the key markets Freyr is focusing on,ā the co-founder added.
The company plans to increase their reach in Tier 2 and 3 cities in 19 states across India. It is also planning to expand its presence in Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Freyr has launched SunPro 2.0, the upgraded version of the SunPro mobile application, to help entrepreneurs in running their solar business with ease. The renewed version aims to provide insights into space availability, local solar radiation and the financial requirement to identify the possible solutions for customers.
SunPro 2.0 has an inbuilt customer relationship management (CRM) and data analytics to help improve business performance. Marda said that the app would help find new ways of adding value to the users. He said, āWe have CRM functionality built in now. Follow-ups are stored in the app. Data analytics is running in the background. We can indicate to users what target segment they should look at.ā
Freyr has been able to acquire around 200 channel partners with the help of the app. The company said that the contribution from dealers had also shot up to 70 per cent.
