Dixon Enters Partnership with Samsung for Feature Phone Manufacturing

  • Samsung has recently terminated manufacture of its phones in China
  • Dixon and Samsung have been associated with each other for two year till now

Dixon Technologies has entered into a partnership with Samsung to manufacture feature phones in India. It will be manufacturing these feature phones in its latest facility spread over 2.24 lakh square feet. 

Sunil Vachani, executive chairman, Dixon Technologies confirmed the news. He said, “Samsung is one of the most valuable technology brands in the world and a leading mobile phone brand as it has been constantly serving with innovative solutions to customers across all segments. With Dixon’s manufacturing expertise and Samsung’s innovative solutions, we are sure that customers are going to have an enriching experience”.

Two year association

Dixon has been associated with Samsung’s home appliances business from last two years. Samsung has recently terminated production of its phones in China.

It was also associated with Xiaomi for manufacturing of TVs and security cameras. During that partnership, the company said it will start start producing smartphones, washing machines and consumer electronics in the future. It also claimed it will provide employment opportunities to 1,500 people.

Samsung comes second in the feature phone market after Reliance Jio. It is followed by Lava in the third position.
