Cadence opens its third largest site worldwide

Cadence Design Systems announced the inauguration of its new, world-class office space at RMZ EcoWorld Business Park on Sarjapur Outer Ring Road in Bengaluru. Over 700 employees work in the new office; it is Cadence’s second largest site in India after Noida, and the third largest globally.

Covering an area of 192,000 square feet over two-and-a-half floors, the premises complies with Cadence’s strict efficiency and environmental standards and features a state-of-the-art workspace that facilitates collaboration, team work and continuing innovation. Teams at the Bangalore site are primarily involved in IP R&D, core electronic design automation (EDA) R&D, customer-facing activities and global IT support.

Cadence President and CEO Lip-Bu Tan is of the opinion that Cadence was one of the first companies to set up operations in India almost 30 years ago. The India operations have contributed significantly to all of Cadence’s technology verticals, and they ontinue to grow their presence in India. The availability of world-class talent and proximity to customers make the Bengaluru office an important one for Cadenc

Jaswinder Ahuja, corporate vice president and managing director, Cadence India, added that the new office in Bengaluru is a significant milestone in Cadence’s India journey. Cadence has always believed in being close to customers and, to that end, Bengaluru is an important site for Cadence worldwide, considering the number of semiconductor companies located in the city.

This facility, where all the teams are co-located under one roof, provides an ideal environment to stimulate a culture of collaboration and innovation, and will help cement Cadence’s position as a great place to work in India.

The office inauguration ceremony was presided over by Tan and attended by customers, business partners, Cadence senior management and employees.
