The luxury car will have an 800-volt battery system with a capacity of 65 kWh. Aston RapidE is set to have a range of over 320 km. The luxury carmaker claims around 248 km per hour speed under 4 seconds, which will be extremely fast and rare driving experience.

Aston had earlier launched its Vantage in India at a price range of Rs. 2.86 crores. The head of sales operation has informed that the Vantage has received a good response from the Indian market.

Upcoming launches

Aston also plans to bring its zero-emission Lagonda to India by 2021. The luxury vehicle was first showcased in the Geneva Motor Show. Although the cars will be introduced in the country, following the announcement of EV launches by major automakers, Chen said that the assembling part will be done elsewhere.

Carmakers across the world have been expressing interest in the EV market in India as the buzz around the policies, incentives and investments have gone up since it was first introduced. India’s dream to shift to an environment-friendly transport mode has been able to draw the attention of global automakers.
