Ajay Shanker Appointed As Ultraviolette’s New CFO

His most recent role as CFO was with Schneider Electric, overseeing their International Business.

Ultraviolette Automotive, a pioneering company in electric vehicle platforms and battery technology, has announced the strategic addition of Ajay Shanker as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ajay brings a wealth of experience from his 25-year tenure in financial roles across esteemed organizations such as Schneider Electric, IIM Bangalore – NSRCEL, Aricent (Flextronics), Cannon Inc., and Yamaha Motors. His most recent position was serving as CFO for Schneider Electric’s international business GSC, overseeing regions including India, the Middle East, Africa, South America, East Asia, Japan, and the Pacific.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and co-founder of Ultraviolette shared his thoughts on this important development, mentioning that Ajay’s remarkable experience and strategic perspective are crucial as the company expands into a global product company with various business verticals. He emphasized that Ajay’s leadership will greatly enhance their ability to realize their vision and advance the field of electric mobility worldwide.

Ajay Shanker, who has taken on the role of CFO at Ultraviolette, shared his excitement about his new position. He mentioned that he is drawn to Ultraviolette’s ambition to be a leader in electric mobility with its innovative products and solid business model. He highlighted that the company’s combination of innovation, global talent, competitive positioning, and clear future vision is what attracted him. He expressed his eagerness to contribute to the company’s mission to redefine electric mobility on a global scale.

Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and co-founder of Ultraviolette, also offered his perspective, stating that the company is on the verge of revolutionizing electric mobility. He pointed out that Ajay’s expertise in financial strategy and growth management will be central to this transformation, ensuring that Ultraviolette not only leads but also defines the future of sustainable transportation.

This appointment comes at a pivotal time for Ultraviolette as it prepares for a phase of expansion and innovation, bolstered by solid business fundamentals and recent successes, including the F77’s accolade as AUTOCAR awards 2024 – ‘Electric Two-Wheeler of the Year’.
