Tuesday, February 25, 2014: The energy management firm, ACME Solar seems to spread its metaphoric solar wings in India, as the company announced yet another solar power project. It commissioned a 25 MW power plant at Khilchipur in the central state of Madhya Pradesh.
Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, the chairman at the ACME Group said, “The commissioning of the Khilchipur plant positions ACME Solar as the leader in the field of solar power generation. With partners like EDF EN and EREN, ACME Solar will be at the forefront of serving the nation (India) through higher uptake of renewable energy,” in a Business Standard report .
It is noted that once the operations of the Khilchipur plant in the district of Rajgarh begin, ACME Solar’s total solar generation capacity will increase up to 42.5 MW, confirmed the company release. The ACME Solar is a joint venture between the ACME Cleantech and French firms the EDF Energies Nouvelles and the EREN.
The power generated from this plant will be evacuated via a 132 KV line, that will be linked to the project site and further supplied to the government of Madhya Pradesh (electricity power grid), as per the company’s agreement signed with the MP Power Management Company, in October 2012.
ACME Solar accounts for 42.3 MW of generative capacity, forming a total from plants in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The company is in process of commissioning another 25 MW facility in Odisha, further said the release.
