5 Chinese Firms To Invest Rs 800 Crore in Greater Noida to Set Up Electronic Manufacturing Units

According to a report by PTI, officials have said that 5 Chinese firms intend to get land in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida for setting up their manufacturing units. The investment for these units will be Rs 800 crore.

Component supplier of phone manufacturer Xiaomi, Holitech India Private Limited met with officials of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) and handed over letters of intent of its five partner companies as per a statement. Holitech India already has four manufacturing units in Gautam Buddh Nagar. It manufactures camera, mobile screens, fingerprint scanners, flexible printed circuits. Holitech India has already invested Rs 400 crore and aims to put in another Rs 1,300 crore soon.

100 acre industrial land

As per the report, Holitech India’s officials told GNIDA officials that five of its partner companies seek 100 acre industrial land to set up manufacturing units and establish electronic companies with an investment of around Rs 800 crore. The statement also said that GNIDA officials have assured full support and also informed them about subsidies and facilities given by the UP government which can be availed by these companies.

Companies from Korean and Taiwan also interested 

The statement also said that GNIDA said that companies from Korean and Taiwan have also showed interest towards investment in the region for setting up manufacturing units. The report also said that about 1,500 acre land is expected to be made available for allotment on which four sectors will be developed for industrial set ups.
