As per the terms of the MoU signed between the two companies, Tata AutoComp will soon make available Tritium’s DC Fast Chargers in India.
Auto component maker Tata AutoComp Systems has  reportedly entered into partnership with Australia’s Tritium Pty Ltd to supply direct current (DC) fast chargers for electric vehicles in India.
Under this agreement, Tata AutoComp will soon make available Tritium’s DC Fast Chargers in India, an Indian news agency reported.
Tritium is a DC charging infrastructure company providing chargers to the global automotive industry. Its Veefil-RT DC Fast Chargers are capable of charging full range of electric vehicles from two-wheelers, passenger vehicles to commercial vehicles.
Huge opportunity in EV market
Tata AutoComp Systems MD & CEO Arvind Goel noted that with the advent of electric vehicles, the need for chargers capable of powering them has become significant. He added that his company sees a huge opportunity in this market.
This partnership will ensure that Tata AutoComp remains at the forefront of innovation in India, as the nation adopts the FAME India (Faster Adoption and Manufacture of (Hybrid and) Electric Vehicles) scheme, said Tritium CEO and co-founder David Finn.
