The NASSCOM Foundation had organised a CSR Leadership Conference in New Delhi on 9 March, 2016. The conference had Ms Aruna Sharma, IAS Secretary, Department of Electronics and IT (DEITY) as its Chief Guest.

Ms Aruna Sharma stressed at the occasion that  “The government is investing Rs 500 crore per year on research related to electronics products. The research is carried out at incubation centres associated with IITs, Indian Institute of Science and other premier institutes. The research is taking place for medical electronics, nano electronics etc at the incubation centre.  If any of you want to invest in that particular sector, this is where we under CSR are looking for a hand holding.  She further said that, “The research is taking place for medical electronics, nano electronics etc at the incubation centres”. Now the association and CSR could be adjoined in the incubation centre itself if the topic of research if of interest to you and your company. You can work with the researchers and take a call.”

Ms Sharma also handed over a list of products that were completely commercialised to NASSCOM along with products that are on the verge of being commercialized. She also handed a third list  which consisted of products that were still under the incubation centres.
