Goldi Solar’s MD Capt Ishver Dholakiya has revealed that the company will start commercial production of 182mm HELOC modules by November this year

Solar firm Goldi Solar has announced that it will expand its product portfolio by starting to produce 210mm modules from next year.

The company had unveiled its HELOC̣ Pro series featuring mono-facial and bifacial modules based on M10 (182mm x 182mm) wafer size.

As per a report by pv magazine, Goldi Solar’s MD Capt Ishver Dholakiya has revealed that the company will start commercial production of 182mm HELOC modules by November this year.

The modules are reportedly 21.7 per cent efficient to give a power output of 560Wp. The company plans the production of modules based on even larger wafer sizes (210mm) from next year.

Currently, Goldi Solar has 500 MW of module capacity and plans to increase it to 2 GW (including cells and modules) under the government’s production-linked incentives (PLI) scheme.

“There is ample market for all module manufacturers, including the new entrants, as the government has set ambitious solar targets,” Dholakiya told the publication.

Goldi Solar’s 60 per cent of sales revenue comes from the commercial and industrial solar (on-site and open-access) and solar pumps market.

Dholakiya said there is a big market in this segment. The company plans an increased outreach to such customers to make them aware of the quality of installations over the lifetime of the PV system.

Earlier in June, Goldi Solar said that it plans to increase its manufacturing capacity to 2.5 gigawatt (GW) with a new facility on the outskirts of Surat, Gujarat.

At present, the existing facility has a capacity of 500 megawatt (MW) and the expansion of 2 GW has been planned in two stages.
