Eon ElectricManufactures: Energy meters, lithium ion batteries, LED lamps | Eon Electric plans to ramp up the manufacturing capacity of its Haridwar plant, which produces LED lamps, from its current capacity of 0.1 million (1 lakh) units a month to 1 million (10 lakh) units per month by March 2015. The company plans to invest close to Rs 2000 million in its Haridwar facility.

Blue StarManufactures: ACs, commercial cooling products, cold storage products | Blue Star plans to set up a manufacturing facility for room ACs in south India. The new facility will come up in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka, since a plant in south India will bring down the logistics costs of its ACs, which are now being transported from its facility in Himachal Pradesh. Welspun Energy LtdDeals in: Solar energy | Welspun Energy has commissioned an 8MW plant in Chitradurga, Karnataka. The plant will generate 12,000 MW-hours of electricity annually and will supply power to the state-run utility Mangalore Electric Supply Co. The power generated by the plant will electrify 33,600 households in and around the state.

Salora International LtdDeals in: Consumer electronics | Salora International Ltd has started manufacturing LED televisions (TVs) at its state of the art plant in Noida. The company will be manufacturing TVs up to 80 cms (32 inches). Expanding its current production capacity of 0.1 million unit annually, the company plans to achieve a target of producing 0.3 million units per year over the next two years. Also, Salora plans to capture 5 per cent of the total domestic market of LED TVs in India. Currently, the facility manufactures a range of CRT TVs and multimedia speaker systems, and caters to domestic as well as export markets.
