Leading solar players

Indian market for solar products and systems is still very young. But with the announcement of the National Solar Mission, the market has received a major push. While large solar companies are expanding their businesses, new entrants are foraying into the space. While the solar industry is suddenly into action and abuzz with activities, Electronics Bazaar took the initiative to find out the leading solar players in the country. Essentially, the solar players are categorised into manufactures of solar cells and modules, solar thermal system providers, system integrators, products developers, etc. Based on the companies’ product profiles, annual capacity, reach, state-of-the-art manufacturing and service capabilities, Electronics Bazaar contacted experts from LED and semiconductor domains, and electronics associations, who shared with us their preferences of leading solar players. While this list is by no means comprehensive, it provides a glimpse into many of India’s better known solar companies. We are not ranking them, but only listing them in alphabetical order.
