The key elements on which Indian PCB companies should focus are capital, consolidation, technology improvements, quality and a global delivery model. Based on these parameters, Electronics Bazaar contacted the industry experts and electronics associations, who shared with us their preferences of leading and emerging PCB players. While this list is by no means comprehensive, it would provide you a glimpse into many of India’s better known PCB companies. We are not ranking them but only listing them in an alphabetical order.

AT&S India Ltd

Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik India (AT&S) is a subsidiary of AT&S AG, which is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Established in 1987, the company is one of the largest PCB manufacturers in Europe and one of the largest multilayered PCB manufacturers in India. The company also has impressive high tech high density interconnects (HDI) capacities in China.
“AT&S India’s HDI and microvia PCB products are well positioned in the market, which mostly find applications in various handheld devices. It mainly addresses three market segments—automotive, industrial and handheld. BLG Electronics Ltd 

Rohit Raisurana, director

Gujarat based BLG Electronics is one of the fastest growing PCB manufacturers. Established in 1988, with its headquarters in Gandhinagar, the company has grown 10 folds in terms of manufacturing capacity, sales, turnover, volumes and market penetration.
It is an ISO 9001 certified company, primarily focusing on highly reliable single sided, double sided and multilayer PCBs. Its products are RoHS compliant with a wide range of surface finish.

CIPSA-RIC India Pvt Ltd 

Alok Garg, MD

Established in 2005, CIPSA-RIC is a multinational company with joint ventures in Spain and Italy. The current investment of the company in global market is Euro 15 millions. It started off with 3,500 sq m capacity but grew three times in the last four years with current production capacity in the range of 12,000 sq m per month. The company is one of the largest double sided PCB manufacturers in India. “Our target for this year (2010-11) is to cross 200,000 sq m. We have a state-of-the-art facility imported from Germany with automation in most of the processes,” says Alok Garg, managing director, CIPSA-RIC.
The company produces up to eight layers of PCBs and targets to attain 12 layer capacity by 2010 end. It exports 40 per cent of its products to Europe, catering to automotive, energy and industrial automation sectors. Its system confirms to ISO 9001 and TS-16949 and is in the process of getting ISO 14000 certification.

Circuit Systems India Ltd

Epitome Components Ltd

Established in 1997, Epitome Components Ltd is an eminent player in the arena of single sided, double sided and multilayered PCB manufacturing. Its single sided PCB manufacturing capacity is 100,000 sq m per month, whereas its double sided capacity is 16,000 sq m per month.

Established in 1991, Fine-Line Circuits Ltd is a medium size independent PCB manufacturer. The company’s principal business is manufacturing of electronic components. With its plants located at Mumbai, Fine-Line exports to USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland and Singapore. Its products include 1 to 16 layer PCBs, rigid, R/Flex, back planes and controlled impedance PCBs and high frequency boards.

Genus Electrotech Ltd

Genus Electrotech is the first PCB manufacturing company based at Gandhidham, Gujarat. It also provides total EMS solutions in addition to PCBs. The company, promoted by the Kailash Group, created its PCB manufacturing facility to supply to OEM suppliers in India.

“Currently, we produce single and double sided PCBs for inhouse use. However, we also sell up to 50 per cent of the total production in the market. With a strong financial standing and a commitment towards growth, we are one of the major companies in this space,” says Vishnu Todi, MD.
Genus is an ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and UL certified company and has been supplying both standard as well as RoHS compliant products to companies in India and abroad. All its facilities are audited and approved by its multinational customers as per global standards.

Micropack Ltd

Micropack is one of the leading manufacturers of PCBs in India. Established in 1984, Micropack provides solution with regard to fabrication of multilayer PCBs up to 24 layers for both production as well as quick turnaround prototype requirements. Its product range also covers heat sink PCBs, metal core/thermal clad, RT duroid teflon/hydrocarbon ceramic PCBs, high copper PCBs, etc.

Established in 1979, Shogini Technoarts is an ISO 9001-2008 certified, UL approved PCB manufacturing company based in Pune. Its plant is located on 32,000 sq m of land with 20,000 sq m of built-up area for production.

The company produces single sided to six layered PCBs. Apart from conventional tin lead HAL finish, it also offers RoHS complaint boards with lead free HAL immersion gold (ENIG) and OSP finish. It has the facility to provide selective hard gold, conductive carbon printing and peelable mask. The quality control at Shogini has universal BBT machines, flying probes, AOI, microsectioning unit, etc.
