ST is open to partnering with companies in India

STMicroelectronics is a global independent semiconductor company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets a broad range of semiconductor integrated circuits (ICs) and discrete devices used in a wide variety of microelectronic applications, including telecommunications systems, computer systems, consumer products, automotive products, and industrial automation and control systems. In an interaction with Srabani Sen of Electronics Bazaar, François Guibert, executive VP, STMicroelectronics and president of the company's Greater China and South Asia operations, reveals that the firm is open to partnering with companies in India for applications such as solar energy, lighting, electronics metering and smart cards. “It could be in our own field, for which we can even partner with our competitors,” he informs.
