Sanmina-SCI Corporation, a leading manufacturing solutions company making some of the world’s most complex and valuable electronic and mechanical products, recently announced that it has achieved the highest level certifications required for the defence and aerospace industry at four of its facilities.
“Achieving these latest certifications demonstrates Sanmina-SCI’s ability to provide our defence and aerospace customers with the highest level of quality and technological expertise available,” said Mike Underwood, president of Sanmina-SCI defence and aerospace systems division. “Our understanding of the sensitive distinctions necessary to design and manufacture mission-critical military products has allowed us to create trusted partnerships with our defence and aerospace customers. These certifications recognise our products design expertise, state-of-the-art facilities, and superior quality systems in our global operations, all of which enable us to ensure the highest standard of product reliability.”
The defence and aerospace systems division’s software engineering department received the capability maturity model integration for development (CMMI-DEV) level 3 certification and company’s Chennai facility has become the first in India to receive the newest AS9100 revision C certification. The certification extends the AS9100 market segments to include defence, in addition to aviation and aerospace.
