Development tools for MCUs


In December 2011, Microchip Technology launched its flexible Microstick II tools featuring an integrated an programmer and debugger, which enables designers to quickly start development.

Features and USP: The flexible Microstick II tool supports 3.3V 16-bit and 32-bit PIC microcontrollers (MCUs), as well as 16-bit ds PIC Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs) in 28-pin SPDIP packages. Features include an integrated debugger and programmer, user LED, reset button, and DUT socket for easy device swapping. The USB powered tool can be used as a standalone or plugged into a prototyping board for extremely flexible development, and is supported by the MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
