AV Systems, one of the leading manufacturers of CCTV cameras, has joined hands with Taiwanese company FUHO Technologies to manufacture CCTVs, digital video recorders (DVRs) and other accessories in India. The joint venture (JV) mentions that a 52 per cent share will be held by AV Systems and 48 per cent with FUHO Technologies.

This strategic alliance between AVAKE, which is the brand name of AV Systems, and FUHO will now be called FAV. A new manufacturing unit has also been established at Okhla in New Delhi to manufacture CCTVs, DVRs and other accessories. FUHO Technologies will provide the complete technical support to AV Systems. Two Taiwanese engineers will be based in Delhi to work closely with AV Systems.

FAV’s expansion plans include opening branch offices all over the country to provide instant sales and service back-up. Its commitment to excel in after-sales service is apparent in the JV’s promise to repair all equipment previously supplied by FUHO Technologies in India.

Explains Anurag Sehal, promoter and founder, AV Systems, “Products sold in the past by FUHO will also be serviced and repaired here in India. We are hopeful that with this kind of JV, we can curb the import of sub-standard products coming in from various countries, as we can have quality products at competitive prices made in India now.”

Benefit of local support

FUHO Technologies is one of the major manufacturers of CCTVs and DVRs in Taiwan, with technical expertise of over 17 years. Its new JV, FAV, has established a service call centre in India to cater to and support the entire Indian market. Offering local, instant service and quality products at competitive prices is the business strategy of FUHO in India. With expert engineers from Taiwan based in India, technical support and product development will surely benefit dealers as well as end customers. “This unique strategic alliance will not only help the Indian security industry in sourcing good quality products at competitive prices but will also help AV Systems position itself in the Indian market,” informs Anurag Sehgal.

The diverse range of products offered by AV Systems not only includes entry level analogue cameras but high resolution analogue cameras with up to 800 TV lines. However, with FUHO’s technical expertise, FAV will launch Internet protocol (IP) based cameras up to 5 mega pixels and network video recorders (NVRs). Various models of DVRs will be available with complete backup for software as well as hardware.
